Formerly known as the Summer in the City, Going On About Town will be a year round happenings of awesomeness that can keep you busy, distract you from the mundane, and introduce new an exciting experiences to colour your already brilliant life. DescriptionArt Miami, presents Art New York for its second year and the debut of CONTEXT New York this spring. The events will showcase artwork from more than 150 galleries representing nearly 1,200 artists from 50 countries.

Description: Dance Party, hosted and produced by Talia Castro-Pozo, includes superb bands and expert dance instruction for extraordinary dancing experiences each Wednesday evening. The extra special opening with three bands and three dance lessons are events where the audience is encouraged to come dressed up for a night of dancing.

Fatoumata Diawara
DescriptionMalian singer-songwriter Fatoumata Diawara combines traditional Wassoulou music and dance from her ancestral home in Mali with elements of pop, jazz, and funk. Also a celebrated actress, Diawara has collaborated with such luminaries as Herbie Hancock, Damon Albarn, and Cheikh Lô, and has impressed audiences around the world with her radiant voice, infectious Afro-pop sound, and original songs that range in theme from politics to empowerment and love.

Description: With more than 150 ensembles dating from the early 20th century to the present, the exhibition will address the founding of the haute couture in the 19th century, when the sewing machine was invented, and the emergence of a distinction between the hand (manus) and the machine (machina) at the onset of mass production. It will explore this ongoing dichotomy, in which hand and machine are presented as discordant tools in the creative process, and question the relationship and distinction between haute couture and ready-to-wear.
