ReCap: Week 4 . . . A Tourist at Home

The great thing about hosting out of town visitors is that you can finally get to all of those things you've putting off because something else seemed more important.

Ames made her way up from New York, and Beantown decided to put on its best face , putting an end (at least temporarily) to the rain that has become the norm these early summer days.

So while the gettin' was good, we put on our walking shoes and exploration goggles and checked out the streets of Boston.

First Stop . . . The North End

Next Beacon Hill

Sadly my camera died and was only able to walk away with this picturesque but lonely shot

We made it to the Carmen Souza show at the Regatta Bar

She is an amazing performer and if you have the opportunity to see her live, I strongly recommend it. She's absolutely adorable so much so, that I wanted to shrink her down and put her in my pocket so that I could keep her with me always . . She's also an amazing musician :-)

Rounding out the weekend was a trip to SoWA

I've been putting this one off for over a year now so I'm glad that I can cross this one off my list of To Do's and add it to my list of regular weekend adventures.

While at SoWA we stopped in a few of the Artist Studios and were particularly taken with the works of Marian Dioguardi and Debby Krim

Quite the weekend if I do say so myself.

Thanks Ames!
