Thanks to E-Dub's STRONG recommendation (perhaps she felt it was her DUTY), I caught one of the last performances of American Repertory Theater's production of Pirates of Penzance. If interactive theater is your thing, and musicals make you giddy . . . particularly the works of Gilbert and Sullivan this was the production for you. 80 minutes of hipster musical fantabulousness (yes she's playing a saw) with a single 1 minute intermission. . . really it was 1 minute.
Quote of the Performance: "Gilbert and Sullivan must be rolling in their grave, but the music is still there, and the actors have beautiful voices" - Random Woman in the Audience.
Pirates take over the Charles!
Oh wait no. . . that was the Cambridge River Festival. With energy to burn following the show I strolled along the Charles River and enjoyed the sights while working on my tan. . . . Note to Self next year spend more time at the Jazz Stage!
